Integrations Guide
View as Markdown88 pre-built integrations across 20 categories: productivity, CRM, developer tools, finance, support, social, analytics, advertising, creative AI, and more.
Integrations connect your agents to the external services your organization already relies on. HeartBeatAgents ships with 88 pre-built integrations across 20 categories. New integrations are added continuously; see Integrations for the full current list.
All integrations are managed from Settings → Integrations in your HeartBeatAgents dashboard. Each integration card shows the service name, a brief description of its capabilities, the available tools, and a connect button. One click starts the OAuth flow or API key entry. No code required.
How Integrations Work
- Connect: Authenticate with the external service via OAuth 2.0 or API key. HeartBeatAgents stores the credential encrypted and handles OAuth token renewal automatically.
- Discover: Once connected, the platform registers the available tools for that service. Each tool has a name, description, and defined input/output schema that the agent reads to understand what it can do.
- Assign: Control which agents have access to which integration tools. A sales agent might need CRM and calendar access but not code repositories.
- Invoke: During conversations, agents automatically select and call the right tools based on the user's request. No manual routing needed.

Automation
Home Assistant, Calendly, and HeartBeatAgents itself: connecting another HeartBeatAgents instance as an integration is what lets one agent invoke another. Delegation (delegate/find_agents) is the purpose-built, ergonomic way to use that same connection for agent-to-agent teamwork, instead of the general-purpose integration_api_request tool every other integration goes through.

Security
- Encrypted credentials: OAuth tokens and API keys are encrypted at rest. Credentials are never exposed in agent responses, logs, or API outputs; see Security for how the credential broker keeps a raw token from ever reaching the agent itself.
- Least privilege: Each integration requests only the minimum scopes required. You control exactly which tools each agent can access.
- Automatic token renewal: HeartBeatAgents handles OAuth token refresh transparently.
- Audit logging: Every tool invocation is logged with the tool name, input parameters (credentials redacted), and timestamp, chained into a tamper-evident hash log you can verify directly from the audit log rather than take on faith.
- Instant revocation: Disconnect any integration with one click. Credentials are deleted immediately.
The integration library is growing continuously. If your team uses a service that isn't yet supported, an agent can build a custom connector autonomously, reading the service's API documentation and writing the integration code themselves (see Skills), or an admin can define one directly with a guided wizard, including importing straight from a working curl command. See Custom Integrations.
