HeartBeatAgents is local-first: it runs on your own hardware, so what you install has to match your platform and architecture.
Supported platforms

Docker
Docker Desktop (opens in a new tab) (or an equivalent Docker Engine on Linux) is required regardless of platform: it's what isolates each agent's execution environment from the rest of your machine. Install it before running the HeartBeatAgents installer.
Resource guidance
Actual resource needs scale with how many agents you run concurrently and whether you're calling out to hosted LLM providers or running models locally via Ollama. Running models locally is more resource-intensive (CPU/GPU and RAM) than calling a hosted provider's API, since inference happens on your own machine.
