A Shared Folder Is Stuck
View as MarkdownA folder shows "Stuck" instead of "Mounted": what that means and how to clear it.
What "Stuck" means
Sharing a folder from Settings → Folder Access normally moves through Mounting to Mounted within a few seconds. If it stays on Mounting for longer than that and eventually shows Stuck, the mount itself failed partway through, most often because the path no longer exists, permissions on it changed, or the underlying Docker volume didn't attach cleanly.
Retry first
Use the retry action on that folder before anything more drastic. This re-attempts the mount without removing and re-adding the share, and clears most transient failures.
If retrying doesn't clear it
Use Force Remove. This removes the folder share outright, even in a stuck state that a normal remove can't clean up. Re-share the folder afterward; a fresh share usually mounts cleanly once the stuck state is cleared, since force-removing resets whatever the mount was stuck on.
Before re-sharing, check the path itself
A folder that moved, was renamed, or was deleted on your machine since you first shared it is the most common root cause. Confirm the path in Folder path still exists and is readable before sharing it again.
