# Twilio SMS

Send and receive SMS messages, and make calls, via Twilio.

## What it does

Connects an agent to Twilio. Agents can send an SMS, list recent messages, and place a call.

## Setup

1. Get your Account SID, Auth Token, and a Twilio phone number from your Twilio account.
2. Go to **Settings → Integrations → Twilio SMS** and enter all three.
3. Assign the connection to an agent.

## Credentials needed

Your Twilio Account SID, Auth Token, and sending phone number. The Auth Token is encrypted at rest and never shown again after saving.

## Typical use

An agent that sends an appointment reminder or order update by text, or one that follows up with a two-factor code when a workflow needs it.
