# Notion

Read, create, and organize pages and databases as part of an agent's knowledge base.

## What it does

Connects an agent to Notion. Agents can read existing pages and databases, create new pages, and update structured data. Useful as a knowledge base an agent references before answering, or as a place it writes summaries and reports to.

## Setup

1. Go to **Settings → Integrations → Notion**.
2. Click **Connect** and authorize via OAuth 2.0 + PKCE.
3. Share the specific Notion pages or databases you want the agent to access. Notion's own sharing model determines what a connection can reach, so grant only what's needed.
4. Assign to the relevant agent(s).

## Scopes requested

Read/write limited to the pages and databases explicitly shared with the connection during setup. HeartBeatAgents cannot read anything not shared with it.

## Typical use

A research agent that reads a Notion knowledge base before answering, or a support agent that logs resolved-ticket summaries into a shared Notion database.
