# NewsAPI

Access breaking news headlines and search millions of articles from over 150,000 worldwide sources.

## What it does

Connects an agent to NewsAPI. Agents can pull top headlines, search across all indexed articles, and list available sources, filtering by keyword, source, language, country, and date range.

## Setup

1. Get a free or paid API key from NewsAPI's own site.
2. Go to **Settings → Integrations → NewsAPI** and paste in the key.
3. Assign the connection to an agent.

## Credentials needed

A NewsAPI key. It's encrypted at rest and never shown again after saving.

## Typical use

An agent that checks today's top headlines on a topic before drafting a summary, or one that searches for recent coverage of an event you ask about.
