# ElevenLabs

AI voice generation and audio synthesis: text-to-speech, voice cloning, sound effects, and audio isolation.

## What it does

Connects an agent to ElevenLabs as a content-generation tool. Agents can turn text into realistic speech, generate sound effects, clone a voice, and list available voices, useful for voiceovers, narration, and audio tracks. This is a separate connection from ElevenLabs as a [Voice](/en/docs/features/voice) speech provider, which is configured on its own settings page for real-time conversations rather than one-off audio generation.

## Setup

1. Get an API key from your ElevenLabs account settings.
2. Go to **Settings → Integrations → ElevenLabs** and paste in the key.
3. Assign the connection to an agent.

## Credentials needed

An ElevenLabs API key. It's encrypted at rest and never shown again after saving.

## Typical use

An agent that narrates a video it produced, or one that generates a sound effect to accompany a piece of content.
