# Datadog

Query metrics, manage monitors, track incidents, and analyze infrastructure health in Datadog.

## What it does

Connects an agent to Datadog. Agents can query metrics, list and manage monitors, mute one, list and create incidents, list dashboards, search logs, and list hosts and services.

## Setup

1. Get an API key and application key from your Datadog account settings.
2. Go to **Settings → Integrations → Datadog** and enter both, plus your Datadog site.
3. Assign the connection to an agent.

## Credentials needed

A Datadog API key and application key, both encrypted at rest and never shown again after saving.

## Typical use

An agent that investigates a triggered monitor and summarizes what's actually happening before paging someone, or one that searches recent logs for the root cause of an error you describe.
