# Configuration

Managing multiple LLM providers, API keys, and instance-level settings after your first agent is running.

Once you've added a single provider in [First Setup](/en/docs/getting-started/first-setup), most ongoing configuration happens in **Settings**.

## Multiple providers

You aren't limited to one provider. Add as many as you like from **Settings → Providers**. HeartBeatAgents routes between them intelligently based on task requirements, and each agent can be assigned its own primary provider and model independently. This is useful for cost/latency tradeoffs (a fast, cheap model for routine triage; a stronger model for complex reasoning) or for redundancy if one provider has an outage.

## Rotating and revoking keys

Each provider connection can be re-verified or replaced from its settings card. Revoking a key immediately stops any agent using that provider from making further calls: reassign affected agents to a different provider before revoking if you need zero downtime.

## Instance-level settings

Beyond providers, **Settings** also covers:
- **Channels**: the platforms your agents are deployed on
- **Integrations**: connected external services
- **Security**: API key management, egress policy, and encryption settings
